OUR STORY

Welcome to ShaeandChar.ca, where passion and culture meet. This website was created by Shae and Char, both entrepreneurs, artisans and moms to teenagers.

They were inspired to create Afrocentric-inspired clothing and unique merchandise. As mothers raising black children in Canada, they embarked on a journey to create a space that celebrates diversity, representation and cultural pride.

Driven by the desire to instill a sense of identity and belonging in their children, Shae and Char noticed a glaring gap in the market; a scarcity of Afrocentric items readily available in Canada. Determined to change this narrative, they combined their creativity, entrepreneurial spirit and love for the culture to establish ShaeandChar.ca

Their vison? To offer a diverse range of clothing and accessories that reflect the beauty and richness of African Heritage, tailored to suit the tastes and preferences of black influence. From vibrant T-shirts and hoodies adorned with graphics and inspiring messages of cultural empowerment to unique merchandise and gifts celebrating the culture, every piece in our collection is carefully curated to empower and uplift.
